Let’s face it: Memorial Day Weekend is the first holiday week that truly kicks off the summer. Because of this, we usually try to find events to go to and celebrate. Sometimes it’s a BBQ at your family’s home, other times it’s a brunch date with the girls. Whatever you’re doing to enjoy the first fun holiday of summer, it’s important that you find the perfect outfit. So, we curated a list of potential pieces of clothing you would absolutely rock this Memorial Day weekend.
1. St. Barts Belted Maxi Dress
Starting off the list strong with a gorgeous maxi dress from Cari Capri. The white color makes it appear fresh and crisp, perfect for an outdoor cookout. The splatters of color give it more dimension and the belt is the perfect touch at allowing you to really form it to your body, making it look structured as well as flowy. It’s the perfect dress! Pair the 100% linen dress with a statement necklace that’ll fall right between the neckline.
2. High Rise Pleated Front Shorts
Temperatures are starting to rise rather quickly, which means a pair of shorts might be the perfect choice for you, especially if you live someone more South. The light blue color leaves a cheery impression and would look absolutely beautiful pairs with a white linen blouse.
3. Misty Floral Dress
Belle XO Boutique
Florals? For spring? Sometimes you just have to do it. This dress was basically designed to be worn to bottomless mimosas with the girlfriends this Memorial Day weekend. We’d pair this with some white strappy sandals and a wicker bag.
4. Another Day In Paradise Pant
Kissy’s Fine Apparel
Some people prefer to wear pants over dresses and skirts and that’s completely fine! That doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice your fantastic sense of style. The tropical print on these pants make them unique, but because the print isn’t in your typical bold colors, like greens and yellows, it makes them chic and very versatile.
5. Santorini Mini Dress
Nothing says “i’m enjoying the warm weather” like a flirty mini dress. This 100% cotton number from Cari Capri is so fun and stylish, you’ll wonder why you don’t already own it. Because it comes in white, this means you can use your accessories to really make a statement. Pair it with a bold red shoe or keep it simple with an all-white ensemble.
6. Cotton-Poplin Cami Maxi Dress
If you’re looking for a more casual look to just have a relaxing day with your family, look no further than a poplin maxi dress. This piece will feel so soft against your skin, you may actually think you’re wearing a nightgown. Can’t you just picture yourself having a lovely picnic with your kiddos in this dress? We can!
7. Charleston Blue Gingham Halter Midi Dress
Sometimes you just have to bring the picnic with you wherever you go, and that’s where this gingham cutie comes in. The tiers give it a fun “Southern” vibe—in fact, you may want to book your next flight to Charleston, South Carolina just so you can wear this there and truly fit in with the other Southern fashionistas.
8. Monaco Linen Skirt
When you want to look like a work of art with every twirl you take, you get the Monaco skirt from Cari Capri. We don’t make the rules. The pleats on this skirt are a lovely nod to the classic tennis skirt that seems to be trending this year in summer fashion. The bright bold prints will inevitably make you stand out and make for a perfect choice if you’re looking to get some cute Instagram photos to share later.
9. Butter Yellow Overalls
Big Bud Press
Go unique or go home, some would say. Pair these beautiful sunny overalls with a basic white tee underneath and some chunky sneakers for the perfectly casual and summery look. This is great if you plan to go to more casual events this Memorial Day weekend.
10. Crocheted Dress
Let’s get funky with some crochet. This is the year of handmade dresses—with more and more brands throwing it back with crocheted shorts, tops, and dresses just like this beautiful number. If you’re into the retro vibe, this dress would be so adorable this Memorial Day weekend with your best girlfriends. Pair it with some pumped or platform sandals to really commit to the 80s aesthetic.
11. Monaco Linen Dress
You prefer to keep it super minimal and comfortable and we completely respect that. This linen dress is exactly what you need to feel like you’re a bit more dressed up than usual, but you feel like you’re still wearing the organic, sustainable material you opt for when choosing pieces for your curated wardrobe.
After spending the last nearly three years not being able to truly celebrate and spend time with our loved ones, it seems like the perfect time to start going out and having an amazing time. Just don’t forget to look absolutely fabulous, of course!
